Battlestrong’s Next Generation Shines; Ennis Brothers Suffer Setbacks

Battlestrong “Next Generation” Collect Unanimous Victories

“Killa” Keenan Smith represented the Battlestrong team on April 1st at the Arena in South Philly, battling the debuting Joshua Nieves to a lopsided unanimous decision in the super featherweight division.

Miguel Cartegena, Battlestrong’s newest team member, made an extremely impressive pro debut into the super bantamweight division.  Cartegena was featured on HBO’s Gamboa vs. Solis undercard, and showed remarkable maturity and skill in his debut against Texas’ Omar Gonzalez (2-5).

 

Ennis Brothers Suffer Setbacks

It was a tough month for the Ennis family, as both Derek “Pooh” Ennis and Farah “Quiet Storm” Ennis suffered defeats against Giorbis Barthelemy (24-8-2) and Alexander John son (11, 0), respectively.  Both brothers are anxious to return to the ring and avenge their losses.
