Farah Ennis Victorious at Taj Mahal!
“The Quiet Storm” collects 5th consecutive KO victory
(August 29th, Atlantic City) Last night, the “Quiet Storm” rolled into the bright lights of the Taj Mahal to face Florida’s Reggie Pena (6-3).
You almost had to feel bad for Pena, because he clearly had no idea why they call Farah Ennis “The Quiet Storm”. Maybe he mistook Farah’s patience as a lack of aggression. For those of us who have seen Farah KO his last four opponents, it was very surprising to see Pena smugly ‘winding up’ his right hand in the second round. For those of us who have seen Farah’s body shots drop a man like he had eaten a grenade, it was even more surprising to see Pena putting both his hands in the air in the middle of the fight.
Then, of course, those of us who have seen Farah were not surprised to see Pena catch a chest full of buckshot from Farah’s right hand and collapse in the 3rd round, the latest victim of Philadelphia’s Farah Ennis.
Farah showed exceptional defense and intelligence in the face of an aggressive opponent, and smartly worked his way out of trouble. He moved and boxed extremely well as he set up Pena for the kill shot in round 3, which came in the form of a ferocious right uppercut to the gut.
Farah collects his 5th consecutive KO, and is really starting to turn heads as the silent assassin of the Battlestrong faction. Farah advances to 16-0, 10KOS.
